goings on

I  am passionate about learning and passing on the skills and techniques of this ancient craft of blacksmithing. I teach at Adam’s Forge in Los Angeles as well as other venues. Here are some links if you’re interested in learning forging and related skills. I’ll also put up information here about events and classes.

I belong to the Arroyo Arts Collective and will participate in the Discovery Tour this year.  There was a nice write-up about last year in the LA Times the following day.

I recently completed the gates onto the athletic field at Occidental College. There’s a wonderful piece on the Huffington Post about it. It includes photos and a short video by Marc Campos, photographer for Occidental College.

If you’re interested in learning blacksmithing these organizations can help you get started:

On July 12 - 14, I’ll be teaming up with Pat Downing  to teach a copper workshop at Fe Gallery in Sacramento, CA. On Friday and Sat I’ll be leading a hands on class in repousse & chasing. Sat night Pat & I will be demonstrating for the 2nd Sat gallery night. On Sunday Pat will lead the Foldforming workshop. Come give it a try!
